Can I marry again if I receive a stipulation?
For a serious reason, a person can be temporarily prohibited from entering a new marriage. The Church has the right and responsibility to determine a person's readiness to enter a marriage to be celebrated in the church. If there is a chance that the factors that contributed to the breakdown of the marriage relationship might be existent in a future relationship, the Metropolitan Tribunal will stipulate that counseling or some other course of action be taken to attend to these matters.
