Do I have a moral obligation to watch one of the Masses that are being livestreamed or recorded on social media, websites, and television?

With the faithful dispensed from their obligation to attend Mass until at least Sept. 6, they are similarly not required to watch a Mass online, on TV, or through other means. However, it is obviously highly encouraged.

The faithful still must observe the Lord’s Day and are encouraged to spend time in prayer on Sunday, participating in a spiritual or corporal act of mercy or meditating on the Lord’s passion, death, and resurrection. An excellent way to do so is through participating in a broadcast of the Sunday Mass.
