Do I need a sponsor?
Everyone must have someone to accompany them on their journey to become Catholic. The purpose of a sponsor is to accompany you and assist you in becoming Catholic. These sponsors, generally from the parish community, will be present to give witness as to how a faithful Catholic lives their life.
