Forming a Team
A charism must be exercised in the context of the Christian’s overall discipleship in submission to Jesus Christ and His Church. The Parish Intercessory Prayer Team will pray for protection, guidance, and wisdom for parish leaders. Confidentiality is mandatory due to the nature of the role. There should be a core team of at least two or three members who pray regularly in communication with the pastor and his leadership team. The role of the intercessor is described here.
If you have discerned that you are called to form a team click here for resources to help you prepare for a meeting with your pastor. Make an appointment with your pastor about starting a team and to seek his wisdom and get guidance on how to proceed.
