I prefer to receive Communion on tongue. How can this be accomplished while ensuring the health and well-being of all?

The faithful have a right to receive Holy Communion on the tongue or in the hand. To accommodate those who prefer this manner of Communion while also respecting the concerns of others in the community, parishes should consider options such as asking those who wish to receive on the tongue to receive last or designating one minister to distribute Communion only to those who wish to receive on the tongue.

Communicants receiving in this manner also could maintain six feet of space during the reverence and the verbal exchange (Bow – “The Body of Christ” – “Amen”) before briefly stepping forward to receive.
