What will happen to the St. John Chapel?
The Archdiocese of Detroit has entered into a long-term lease agreement with buyer Pulte Family Management, SJ LLC, for the continued use of the Chapel of Mary and Joseph (formerly St. John Chapel) for its active Catholic wedding ministry. This change of name was made in-part to help distinguish the chapel as a standalone Catholic entity separate from the rest of the complex, which is now owned and operated by Pulte Family Management, SJ LLC. In addition, the new name honors our Blessed Mother and her beloved spouse as perfect examples of the marital vocation that Catholic couples embrace upon entering together into the Sacrament of Marriage.
