Youth Leadership Development

The Youth Leadership Development Department assists in the spiritual and personal development of youth by empowering them to become leaders in their schools, faith communities, groups and neighborhoods and to develop the youth’s understanding of the value of self, service, social justice and multiculturalism.

  • The Rainbow Conference unites high school students for a variety of events and workshops that emphasize spiritual growth, leadership development, community service, and teen issues, The CYO Youth Council works throughout the year to plan, develop, and implement this teen conference for their high school peers. Rainbow is an annual two-day conference with three tracks (teen issues, life skills and spiritual growth) for over 1,500 9th through 12th grade students and their adult leaders.
  • The Wind Conference assembles and recognizes over 500 junior high school students (7th and 8th grade) and again is planned and implemented by a youth group for their peers. It is a one day conference at a local parish.
